Enjoy Frederik Ernst’s summer-clad garden and let your thoughts wander into the worlds of literature. Every Tuesday in July, the talented librarians from Assens Libraries visit the museum garden—Frederik Ernst’s Garden—and they’ve packed their bags with evocative literature. For each atmospheric reading, the librarian has selected special literary samples that complement the beautiful garden and contribute to the specific mood they wish to highlight. Sit back and listen to the vibrant literary mosaic for 45 relaxing minutes.

Participation is free, and you only need to pay the Museum ERNST admission fee if you’d like to explore Frederik Ernst’s unique world before or after the atmospheric reading.
You can purchase hot and cold drinks as well as sweets at Café ERNST to enjoy during the event. In case of bad weather, the atmospheric reading will be moved indoors to the café.
