On two Tuesdays this fall, Museum ERNST invites you to a conversation salon at Café ERNST.
In a cozy and informal setting, we’ll delve into Frederik Ernst’s extensive private collection of letters. The letters offer a rare glimpse into human relationships, friendships, love, and communities during a time when so much had to be conveyed between the lines.

Museum curator and Ph.D. Tea Dahl Christensen will bring along a selection of letters and set the stage for an engaging conversation about the stories they hold—and what they can tell us today. There’s room for reflection, curiosity, and different perspectives, whether you come for the history, the conversation, or the sense of community.

You're more than welcome to bring your knitting or other crafts with you.
Café ERNST will be open, so you can buy coffee and cake while you're here.

The Conversation Salon is divided into two themes, which can be experienced together or separately.
Tuesday, October 20, 7:00–8:30 p.m.: Your Devoted Friend – Part 1: Intimate Voices and Communities.
Tuesday, November 17, 7:00–8:30 p.m.: Your Devoted Friend – Part 2: Gay Slang and Hidden Codes.
